Abstract

PFAS monitoring increasingly requires analytical techniques that extend beyond targeted compound lists to provide a more complete understanding of fluorinated organic compounds contamination in environmental waters. Extractable Organic Fluorine (EOF) and Adsorbable Organic Fluorine (AOF) are method-defined parameters used to quantify total PFAS content and to identify the presence of unknown or emerging fluorinated compounds.

In this Velaris webinar, an expert from TRACE will present EOF and AOF analyses by Combustion Ion Chromatography (CIC) for drinking water, surface water, groundwater, wastewater, and other aqueous matrices, in compliance with methods such as ASTM WK68866, EPA 1621, DIN 38409-59, and ISO 18127.

The session will cover the full AOF sample preparation, explaining the principles of total organic fluorine analysis and the differences between EOF and AOF methodologies.
